Get Real with Lemontine

Hey there everybody,

I'm excited and feeling a tiny bit nervous. I am here for two reasons: The first is that I want to reach out and let you know me in a real way... more than just an Instagram way. There's only so much that I can convey on there! Second, I want you to see SO MUCH MORE than what I can display on Instagram.

So, let's get real. You should know a few things about me. First, I taught elementary school for two years. It was my joy. I loved it. I loved the pencils, crayons, math discussions, learning, and especially those kids. I think about my 50 students (two years worth) all the time. I hope they know I love them. I told them every day. I hope they are all safe. And of course, I hope they are still enjoying their learning experience.

My second year teaching I had a surprise as I was climbing that educational ladder. His name is Landon. My son.

Landon came to us at the end of last year. He is our joy. If you are a mother you understand what I mean when I say that my whole world changed the minute the doctor laid that sweet new baby on my chest. When I returned to work 6 weeks later, my heart broke a little bit every day until the last day of school. I wanted to be there with him... teaching HIM, reading to HIM, telling HIM how much he is loved.

That's where Lemontine came in. I had always told my husband that once we had kids I wanted to really work on my photography business and get it out there. So in February I began rebranding. I started staying up all night by the glow of my computer screen; editing, creating... and then Lemontine was born.

So, now I have two babies. I have my perfect son, who I am blessed to sit next to and cuddle on as I work throughout each day. And I have my Lemontine, my baby that allows me to access my inner creative.  I am so grateful for the strong relationships that Lemontine has afforded me; with my own family and new friends alike.

So now you know where I am coming from. I'm excited to keep sharing, not only my stories but also LOTS of fabulous pictures.
