Introducing Kirsten Kizerian, bride. Isn't she lovely?
I love Kirsten for a ton of reasons. Number one: She is a model. I usually coach people along and prompt poses but not with this lady. She simply knew exactly what to do all of the time and she looked dang stunning while doing so! There are so many shots where she so naturally held one of her hands up to her face, or nonchalantly looked way from the camera. Perfect posing. I also fell in love with her dress the minute that I saw it. The beaded lace at the top, and my favorite, the heavy, silky, draped bottom. Her dress falls perfectly.. every single time. So pretty.
Kirsten is not only beautiful but she is a total creative herself. She designs beautiful things and takes pretty pictures... Check out her website here. I totally picked her brain the whole time about different design questions that I have had FOREVER and she knew how to help me with every single one!!! The sad thing is she made it seem SO SIMPLE. I love her.
Okay, down to the nitty gritty. You might be wondering where we took these stunning aspen bridals. Well, you have the fabulous Mount Timpanogos to thank. It's most likely right in your back yard if you are one of my Utah peeps. The aspen location is located right off of the Alpine Loop, and the second location is at the Timpooneke trailhead. Both locations are easy to access and so stunning to shoot at, or even just to hike around.
My husband and I were talking after this shoot and I was telling him about the places that we went to shoot (the loop and Timpooneke) and he laughed and told me that I really know Utah now. I got to thinking and you know what... I really do! I know SO MANY little places with strange names like 'Salamander Flats' and 'Albion' that are so beautiful to shoot. I have really grown to appreciate Utah over the last six years. I still miss the beach, and I don't ever think I will be comfortable driving in the snow, but I do love the mountains. They have so much to offer.
